written for [link] for their "tea" prompt. the character's statement is one repeated/paraphrased in the novel i have been working on for the past few years, aptly titled "bitter almond tea." you can find a few of the excerpts and side-stories in my gallery, mostly under the header of "bitter almond tea." none but the clubs i belong to are free to display my work unless they have been given express permission. enjoy.
